This timely legislation would reinstate recently terminated probationary federal employees and provide them back pay. Senators Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Mark Warner (D-Va.), and Tim Kaine (D-Va.) joined Senator Alsobrooks in introducing the MERIT Act.
