WASHINGTON, DC – Today, as a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) questioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the President’s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

In a now viral moment, Alsobrooks confronted RFK Jr. on his position that “We should not be giving Black people the same vaccine schedule that’s given to Whites, because their immune system is better than ours.”

Alsobrooks responded with, “What different vaccine schedule should I have received?”

Senator Alsobrooks also pushed RFK Jr. on his intentions to clean house of the scientists and federal career staff at the National Institutes of Health, located in Maryland.

Upon hearing RFK Jr.’s answers, Alsobrooks ended with, “I will be voting against your nomination because your views are dangerous to our state and to our country.”
